Common interests/methodology/underlying problem

Participating DPs have similar interests and will cope with similar problems. Common interests are for example:

  • Reducing discrimination of women on the labour market by improving childcare services
  • Reconciliation of work and family life
  • Training for people who work in the field of childcare (child minder, educational helper)
  • Training for people who want to work (e.g. unemployed) in the field of childcare (child minder, educational helper)
  • Amelioration of the quality in the field of childcare (at home and in structures) by trainings
  • Flexibility in childcare structures
  • Networking in childcare structures
  • Development and improvement of the quality of social services provided to vulnerable families with small children

    2. The common objectives of the DPs

    The objectives of the transnational partnership are mutual learning and empowerment in the fields of common interest, a mutual exchange of experience and the common development of transnational documents (reports, instruments).

    The following themes are treated in the transnational co-operation

  • Flexible models of childcare(coordinator: Luxembourg)
  • Comparison of trainings in the field of child minders and auxiliary workers (coordinator: Italy)
  • Accreditation of prior learning experience (coordinator: Belgium)
  • Integrated services (support for families and children) (coordinator: Germany / Lithuania)
  • Evaluation (all participants)


    Overall transnational strategy

    The transnational strategy is based on different working groups. Every partner chooses his modules of interest and participates in the chosen modules. In addition, every partner joins the first module “flexible structures of childcare” and the fifth module “Monitoring and Evaluation”. The following listing will clear up this strategy:

    A. Rationale and Objectives
    1. Common interests/methodology/underlying problem
    Diagnostic des projets :
    France : l’objectif du projet est de renforcer l’attractivité du territoire et l’accueil de nouvelles populations par la mise en place d’actions pour réduire les tensions entre les différents temps de vie.
    Cet objectif s’appuie sur l’hypothèse suivante :
    - en développant les services et en les rendant plus accessibles, on réduit les tensions exercées par l’articulation des temps de vie et on favorise l’accessibilité des femmes et des hommes à l’emploi,
    - la réduction des tensions exercées par l’articulation des temps de vie est une condition pour une participation citoyenne des hommes et des femmes sur le territoire,
    - par ailleurs, les tensions liées à l’articulation des temps de vie sont plus difficiles à gérer pour les personnes en recherche d’emploi, du fait des problèmes de mobilité et de revenus,
    - la mise en place de services et la prise en compte des différentes questions liées à l’articulation des temps de vie contribuent au développement social, économique et politique des territoires ruraux. Ils sont source de richesses humaines, économiques et politiques.

    Introduction
    The Lisbon strategy as it has been launched in 2000 by the Heads of State and Government of the European Union aims at providing a firm development on an economic, social and environmental level, establishing thus the European Union as “the most dynamic and competitive knowledge-based economy in the world” by 2010. President Barroso in his communication to the European Spring Council in 2005  maintained the aim to “attract more people into employment and modernize social protection systems”.
